France’s Just Fontaine, famed for his 1958 FIFA World Cup scoring feat, is one of today’s featured Golden Players as uefa.com builds up to UEFA EURO 2008™.

Nominated as the Czech Republic’s Golden Player to mark UEFA’s Jubilee, Josef Masopust played in the 1962 FIFA World Cup final and won the Ballon d’Or.

Adrian Mutu and national team coach Victor Piturca have been voted Romanian Player and Coach of the Year after leading their nation to UEFA EURO 2008™.

Poland’s Jacek Bąk has announced his decision to quit international football after UEFA EURO 2008™. “You should know when to leave the stage,” he said.
